Brian Abt

Brian Abt

Co-President, Clark Construction Group

As co-president of Clark Construction, Brian Abt oversees national operations for the company’s vertical construction projects. 

The Building Group delivers healthcare, aviation, mission critical, public assembly, sports and entertainment, education, residential and mixed-use, office, hospitality, and government assets in markets across the United States. He is ultimately responsible for client satisfaction as well as the safety, quality, and successful completion of projects nationwide. 

Since joining Clark in 1985, Brian has overseen landmark projects, including Nationals Park, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and The Wharf.

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Brian is a member of the board for The 2030 Group, an organization committed to advancing regional solutions that enable a strong regional economy, strengthen continued employment opportunities, sustain economic development, and ensure high quality of life for current and future residents in the Washington, DC area.

John O'Keefe

John O'Keefe

Co-President, Clark Construction Group

As co-president of Clark Construction, John O’Keefe sets the strategic direction of the company’s heavy civil portfolio and self-perform operations and provides executive oversight of Clark affiliates, Guy F. Atkinson Construction, Shirley Contracting Company, C3M Power Systems, Clark Water, Clark Civil, Clark Concrete, and Clark Foundations.

John previously served as Clark’s chief operating officer, working with regional executives to optimize project performance and achieve financial, schedule, safety, and quality goals.

John has overseen the successful completion of multiple complex building and civil projects nationwide, including the Atlanta Quarry Tunnel, I-15/I-215 Devore Interchange Improvements, Two Liberty Place, Market Square North Mixed Use, 2400 M Street, Brooke Army Medical Center, National Museum of the American Indian, and the Douglas A. Munro Coast Guard Headquarters Building.

John earned his bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and has completed the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Executive Program.

He is a member of the Construction Industry Ethics and Compliance Initiative and the Pennsylvania State University Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (PACE) program. He is a past member and department chair of the Pennsylvania State University Industrial and Professional Advisory Council.

CEO, Clark Construction Group

Robert D. Moser Jr. is the chief executive officer of Clark Construction. In this role, Robert provides executive direction for the company's national construction operations and asset solutions, which range from real estate development and technology integration to facility operations and maintenance. With more than 4,400 team members, Robert proudly fosters a company culture that thrives on innovation, integrity, and community involvement. 

Under his leadership, Clark has delivered projects that define the local and national landscape, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Chase Center, Inova Schar Cancer Institute, and the New Terminal at Kansas City International Airport. 

Robert is passionate about providing a superior and engaging client experience, keeping the safety of craftworkers at the forefront of every project, delivering products of unparalleled quality, creating opportunities for Clark team members to grow, and ensuring the Clark team has the resources necessary to execute brilliantly.

Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Sameer Bhargava

Sameer Bhargava

CEO, Asset Solutions Group

Sameer Bhargava is the chief executive officer for Clark’s Asset Solutions Group, which provides development, capital, technology, and advisory services that optimize a real estate asset’s lifecycle and user experience. In this role, he oversees the strategic direction of Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, S2N Technology Group, Carta Advisors, Coda, and Align Capital Solutions.

Sameer, a member of Clark’s executive leadership team, is also responsible for the organization’s corporate planning, strategy, innovation, risk management, and information technology functions.

Prior to joining Clark, Sameer served as managing director and director of corporate development at The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, where he focused on firm strategy and planning, firm acquisitions, fundraising initiatives, new product development, and strategic relationships. Previous to this role at Carlyle, he was an investment professional in their US Buyout Fund. 

Sameer’s career has also included roles with Bain Capital, Advent International, and McKinsey & Company.

Sameer earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from Harvard University and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.

Sameer is a board member of Stubhub, serves as chair of the board of The Potomac School, and is part of the Dean’s Leadership Council at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. In 2019, Sameer was a Washington Business Journal C-Suite Awards recipient.
